What size dancefloor do i need?
We can supply dance floors in a number of sizes. If you are unsure which size you need for your room you can ask the venue what size they normally use, or simply ask us. We have supplied to hundreds of venues so we may instantly know which size suits your venue. If you book a floor that is too big for the area dont worry, we can supply a slightly smaller floor to fit the area without any hassle.
How long does it take to lay the dancefloor?
The dancefloors can be laid in approx 30-45 minutes from when space is made available. This is easily achievable in room turnarounds inbetween the Wedding Breakfast finishing and Evening Wedding Reception beginning, It takes us approx the same time as a DJ to set up.
What power requirements do i need?
We just need one power socket to power the starlit dancefloor. This must be near to where the floor is to be laid and must have an uninterrupted path from the dancefloor to the socket. ie it can not be run next to guests tables and chairs. Running under an unused table or dj booth is fine. Black & White floors do not require any sockets.
Do you set the dancefloor up and take the floor away?
Yes. We deliver, install and remove all dancefloors, so there is nothing needed for you to do.
DOs and DO NOTs of hiring a dancefloor:
The dancefloors are for dancing on not for jumping or stamping on, please treat them with respect.
There must be at least 2ft of clearance between any nearby tables and chairs. This is to stop any chairs being accidentally dragged onto the dancefloor and causing damage.
In order to keep our dance floors in great condition for our clients, we do not allow tables, chairs, bands or any equipment on the dancefloor.
The starlit dancefloors are electrical and as such should be treated as any other electrical item. We advise not to have drinks on the dancefloor as spillages could in rare occassions short circuit the floor causing the lights to go out and potential damage. If this happens we cannot be responsible for the floor not working.
Please do not use confetti or exploding balloons on the starlit dancefloors. It can get between the contacts on the dancefloor and break the electrical continuity causing the lights to go off. If this happens we cannot be responsible for the floor not working.
Please do not stand on the power cord that powers the dancefloor. As with any electrical power lead any damage caused to the lead may stop the dancefloors from working.
The dancefloor area must be flat, clean and free of all obtrusions including confetti, scatter crystals and any other item that may stop the panels connecting together.
All dancefloors are for indoor use only.
